This is the first Robert Dugoni book I have read. I found myself unable to put the book down from the beginning. The author did a great job of providing flash backs without making the book confusing. The author added a little bit of humor in some of the dialog that broke up the tension of the story. It was done in a creative and effective way. I also found that the author had unique ways to describe everyday things, like what your breath looks like in cold air.
I found myself aching for Tracy and wanting her to find answers. By the end of the book I was hoping that it wasn’t true. I felt so bad for her but grateful that she eventually had closer. The author did a wonderful job developing the characters to the point that I was feeling emotions for them. I found the story picked up speed for me about half way through the book. The author did a great job of making the reader question things along with the characters.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more Robert Dugoni books in the future.
